My name is Ashleigh Cotter and I am from New Jersey. I am currently a sophomore at the University of Notre Dame, studying Neuroscience & Behavior with a minor in International Development Studies in the College of Arts and Letters. I have been named to the dean’s list every semester from Fall 2020-Fall 2021, representing the top 30 percent of students in my college.
At Notre Dame, I am an undergraduate research assistant in the Sleep, Stress, and Memory Lab. I serve as a team leader for Sophomore Class Council, the Service Learning Trip Coordinator for ND’s MEDLIFE chapter, and am active in my dorm community. Additionally, I work for TutorND as a virtual literacy tutor for local students. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my friends, reading, and enjoying the beautiful campus views.
I would like to thank everyone at the Ingram Lee Foundation for supporting me in my studies. As the daughter of a retired police sergeant, I am so grateful to organizations that are dedicated to giving back to first responders and their families. After graduation, I plan to pursue a career as a physician assistant and look forward to making a difference in the lives of my patients.
