Jack spent most of his young life in Colorado before his family relocated to Austin, Texas. Jack graduated high school in Cedar Park, Texas in 2010. Shortly after, he left for United States Marine Corps basic training in San Diego, California. Working as a Joint Fires Observer, he deployed to Helmand Province, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom attached to 1st Battalion, 7th Marines. During his time overseas, he was responsible for coordinating fire support assets, including air support. After coming back from this deployment, he was promoted to Corporal which gave him the opportunity to lead and mentor others. After being honorably discharged in 2014, he attended school at Arizona State University and began working as an Emergency Medical Technician. In 2017 he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Sustainability and Business. Upon graduating, he worked at a non-profit that specialized in providing services for burn survivors across the state. Jack decided he wanted to pursue a career in the maritime industry because of the dynamic and physical nature of the job, as well as the adventure it provides. While at Texas A&M he served as Company Commander of Victor 1 and is a teaching assistant for Medical Care Provider. He hopes to be working in the Gulf upon graduating as a deck officer.
